Marriage is a religious ceremony anyways. Why would you want to have your relationship cemented by a religion that specifically rejects your sexuality?

And increase in intelligence is possible although unlikely to happen at any pace and extinction through outbreeding is perhaps even likely but together? Nah not worth worrying about
