Also, I once heard that the chance a player returns to the community is proportional to the length of his goodbye post. Those who quit in earnest just tend to fade away. We'll see how this plays out for JSA.

In the service I guess we called it "Terminal Leave." That's when the person went on their last paid vacation, getting paid for every day left of leave they had on the books, sometimes up to 3 months. Meanwhile, the old job can't get a replacement for you because you're still technically on the books and everyone has to pick up the slack for the guy cashing out his leave.

However, I'm failing to find a reason to go on vacation when you retire, unless you are in fact not retiring. See you in a week JSA.
