Classics- Matrix, Indiana Jones
Oh dear. These are classics now?

MasterMind. Harry Potter is fantasy, not sci-fi. But we can dream, I suppose.

I'm gonna do a different list to change things up a bit.

1) If I could only watch one movie for the rest of my life, I'd choose:
CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON

2) Movies I've seen most times:
ALADDIN, WHEN HARRY MET SALLY, CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON

3) Movies I've seen multiple times in the theater:
ALADDIN, LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY, SHERLOCK HOLMES, FINAL FANTASY THE SPIRIT WITHIN

4) Worst movie I sat all the way through:
THE TRIAL

5) Movies I wish I'd never seen:
Anything by JOHN WATERS

6) Movies I made out with someone while "watching":
HOLY MAN (with Eddie Murphy)

7) Movies that horrified me for days after seeing:
ARACHNOPHOBIA, BLAIR WITCH PROJECT

8) Most unexpectedly great movie:
BOURNE IDENTITY

9) Most unexpectedly awful movie:
SPIDERMAN (2002)

If you've seen alot of movies.. which is the most controversial? From the standpoint of general western views.

I like these types of movies because they bring a level of interest, and thought, so any recommendations?

But let's do it.

My top 5 is:

1 American Beauty
2 The Graduate
3 Richard The Third (The one with Ian McKellen)
4 Sunset Boulevard

Meh, a kick in the balls seems more romantic than Twilight (according to me at least)

So I've seen Skyfall mentioned here a few times. While I personally wonder if a movie that new is appropriate for this type of list as we have not had an opportunity to see how well it holds up over time, is it really that good? Might have to put it on my weekend "to-do" list...

No one up for Braveheart? That was a good movie.

-Comedy: Spaceballs
-Aventure: Indiana Jones 1 and 3 (2 and 4 bored me, I didn't really like the plot and the "extra" characters were really shallow).
-Action: Don't Get It.
-Animated: Don't remember last one I even watched :S

And "The Artist" (revival of Silent Film) was the msot suprising one to me, because I really did not expect that to be as good as I enjoyed it.

1984 is a good book.

no taste...

@hms how is the matrix a classic, when it was made it 1999?
@bigby I would like to know how family guy can be defined as anime

Inception was a great movie due to the fact that is was completely unlike a nything before it. It defintley drew from ideas from matrix however but was still fantastic

but no one has mentioned, slumdog, crash, the departed, letters from iwo, the pianist, shawshank, platoon, deer hunter, Doctor Zhivago, pul[, one flew over the cookoos nest, elephant man, marty, on the waterfront. comeon i coulda been a contenda!

where is the culture

I'm probably not clear on the minor differentiation between the various forms of animation. I thought (most likely incorrectly) that anime was short for animation which would encompass all forms of cartoons. Sorry, old dude here.
