I think not attacking south pole is because you are not going to take it in the next turn, so there is not point trying to take it with 3 when you could take it with 4 the next turn. (I got it wrong though.)

I think you need to re-word question 9.

you decide to take south america in 2 turns after picking stage. How and where will you attack?

The problem is that B, F and G get you South America in two turns but you've marked them as incorrect. I think you marked them as wrong since they don't leave you in the best position for future turns, however that's not what you asked in the question.

I asked how and where will you attack and gave the relevant information. In the introduction I sepcifically said that there is always only 1 answer so you have to pick the best one.

Fizzer... you're supposed to post your score ;)

Szew, can you check my comment before about #12, balancing actually getting the bonus v. what to do with the remainders?

I replied to you before:

Here it is the loss of expected income vs posibility of opponent being in SA and attacking argentina. Switching from 4+4+3 to 5+3+3 loses you (0.8-0.64)*3=0.48 income, which is less than the 1 extra you get near Argentina and since it is very likely you will need that one extra in Argentina, that'd give you an additional 0.52 troops to work with. Globally you'd lose, but factoring in the probability of opponent striking Argentina, global leftovers might be less important than those near Argentina, especially since you'd very likely be forced to conuter Argentina on turn 2 in that position. That means that the decision which strategy is better is dependent upon our approximation of the probability of opponent going into Argentina on turn 1, if it is about 50% or more, I'd recommend 5+3+3, if not 4+4+3. Since there is no way to make that kind of approximation objectively, I said that both strategies are valid, all the others are dominated by them.

if the opponent removes all armies it is a possibility (= a risk), even if it isn't likely it's possible

Very good point Timinator, I'll rephrase the question. (note, formally it is correct, only warlight adds a "magical" 1 army to the defender if at the end of the turn it is 0-0).

Got a 56% , got all the first questions right , I just do not like the scenarios all too well. I see there has already been debate here and there about it and I see no point why there should be yet another comment of it. Still , this whole thing was very creative. I don't think I will do another one since the scenario questions confused me a little , but it was a neat pasttime. By the way , not to commercialise or anything , but subscribe to one of my chat rooms for the latest on new WarLight game modes :D lol

If your position is that we're not just answering the question asked, but instead we're picking what the best move is, then your answer to question 10 is wrong.

In question 10, you marked the correct answer as "Both A and G are correct." But those are different strategies, and one is, imo, better, therefore they both can't be the best.

Either your answer to question 9 is wrong, or your answer to question 10 is wrong. Given the questions asked I would argue 9 is wrong.

Really, if your intent is to ask what the best move is, you should put that in the question.

I think this is kind of the point: although personal opinion may differ depending on play style, neither is in particular superior. Anyway, you might change your play style depending on your opponent, (for example closing your eyes and clicking randomly when playing heyheuhei).

Really, if your intent is to ask what the best move is, you should put that in the question.

This is implicit given that it is Szew asking, and obviously, all those moves would allow you to take the bonus in two turns.

I think Fizzer is just peeved because he flunked a test on his own game. Really though, you could improve it by giving a half-mark for answering either A or G when the answer is both.

I like this thread. It is a good idea. I also enjoy the opportunity to crack some jokes at Sze's expense.

Sze's Intellectual Tszar Perszonality Tseszt:

Q1: How many times can Sze be told his tactics/strategies/approach/answers are incorrect before he actually considers the totality of the opposing argument?

Q2: How many times will Sze tell you that you are wrong and he is still in fact (in spirit, in theory, in practice, in something) correct?

Q3: Even after Sze realizes he is incorrect on a theoretical matter, will he publicly say so?

Q4: Is the goal of the test to promote (a) warlight, (b) strategy, (c) Sze's self-esteem, (d) Sze's soft power campaign to appear like the King of Warlight strategy, or (e) all of the above?

Q5: Are all jokes half true?

Awww... how cute. Gui back on his egotistical high horse and bashing Szew for attempting to do something for the community. Sad thing is I read this drivel and immediately knew it was Gui despite the (yet another) new name...

A2: As long as I think I am right.

A3: Yes, see 5 posts above.

A4: Certainly a and b, the rest at best subconciously :)

A5: Most jokes are half-true just by being jokes.

Fizzer, in question 10 A and G actually are the exact same strategy considering what you'll do on turn 2, in 9 that particular strategy does the same thing all the other do and it meets a potential threat of africa counter while preserving leftovers. If you think one is better in 10 please explain it to me, imo both lead to the same outcome after 2 turns.

Dick, I just can't hide from you! You are too intelligent. But what if my name changes are nothing more than flippant manifestations of a momentary mood? What if I don't really care what my name is and it is the community that decided my name should be Gui at a time when I was atop one or both of the ladders and I was previously unknown to people who didn't play realtime and are mostly pretty bad at Europe 3v3? Yuanshuai was also a possible name the community could have used. Why did you all decide on Gui? It's certainly not my real name and not one of the usernames I use define me in any non-virtual sense. Maybe this is hard for you to understand, Dick. I came to warlight assuming an incognito account was a tabula rosa to be shaped any which way I want. Dick, your persistent nastiness is true as the north star. Hail Caesar!
