I will post this again, those defending American policies should really read it all and consider the millions of deaths this has caused.

Edit: I love this topic. How people can be so convinced that banning guns would somehow magically make everything in the US better is beyond me, rofl. Many guns were destroyed, around 700,000 I believe. This:

1. Didn't control guns for very long. We now have more guns then we did before.
2. Got rid of thousands of antique, collectible and historially important guns, including some that should have been in a museum.

If you ban guns:

1. Mafia and gangs can still get them. And then (according to the average American) they won't be able to defend themselves.
2. Cheap, fake guns are made that tend to blow up when you try to fire them.

Why do people only talk about crime? Come on let's go to the next level of firearms civilwars/revalutions( Can be any in history not just america) let's theorize. Come on what about invasions? what I understood from the proponents of legalized firearms in the US is that their society is full of vile criminals who will exploit the average citizen unless the said citizen has a gun to protect themselves with.
