Did you have to clarify that you liked him not sexually?

The point is not that I don't like them, the point is that many people are being blacklisted and even are quitting because of them. The reason I'm not following the rules is, I'm showing how unfair and boring the rules are and how a simple attack makes you a PE. As someone said before, the game is about playing Risk, not playing United Nations. If you want a diplomacy, go to websites that ARE for playing United Nations, not websites that are for playing Risk.

If YOU want RISK, join FFA games ONLY and let the players who enjoy diplomacy do their "unfair and boring" thing without you. You entitled little troll.

You choose to join a game and then blame the game when you choose to break the rules.

You sound like one of those people who think that rape is the victim's fault.

Besides, I'm sure that your demonstration of fractured logic and downright stupidity in this thread have done more to get you blacklisted by people than any of your breaking rules in games.

Your points are all sooo invalid.

First of all, if you don't join diplomacy's you don't get blacklisted because you didn't join them. Then you can join all the FFA games you like. the solution to your blacklist problem.
Secondly, the fact that you don't understand the rules properly and/or don't like them doesn't mean the rules and the games are bad.
thirdly, the beauty of Warlight, is that everyone has the possiblity to make their specific games, the custom scenario builder is a great example for this which is used a lot for diplo games. This is so beautiful because it gives the players so much possibilities in how they would like to play the game. Then they have the freedom to start the games of which they like it. If you then don't like thes 'templates' you also have the liberty of not joining them. So you can play your RISK games you like and other people can play their diplo games which they like. We all go our seperate ways and we live happily ever after.

(btw, he invaded my diplo and booted active players (which is a big crime in the world of diplomacy's))

Your argument has literally no basis. If you don't want to play diplomacy games, don't enter them. Why would a player not be able to play a game how he desires because you don't like it? I like to equate this to the ever controversial topic of gay marriage. If two people decide they want to spend the rest of their life together, do you have the right to tell them they cannot, simply because (hypothetically) you dislike LGBTQ?

Also I will say diplomacy games have their flaws, and a good chunk end up in VTE, but as long as players continue to join them, players will continuously create them.

What's VTE?

As far as I know, it stands for Venous thromboembolism...

JS0223, I never played with you but I already heard of you, as we are currently discussing about you in our clan's forum. You are free to hate a kind of playing, but please respect people and stop ruining our diplomacy/roleplaying games (respect rules, basic values of fair play, stop booting active players, troll/spam the chat and stop whining and crying because you are losing), if I ever meet you and see that what people say about you is true, I will blacklist you directly and tell people I know to do the same, your behavior is childish and pathetic. You dont like diplomacy games? Fine, DO NOT JOIN IT THEN.
What we should do is not to ban diplomacy games but ban players such as you from Warlight.

Why can't people realize that JS0223 is a troll? Let's all just blacklist him and move on.

I have a proposal for people who like playing Diplomacy.

Let's ALL ban JS0223 from our games. If any of us see him join a game, he will be instantly blacklisted, labelled "ENEMY OF DIPLOMACY" and attacked without mercy. :-)

This sounds like a better idea than banning diplos because he doesn't like to follow the rules.

Diplomacy Requires more then just skill in the game, you need to be able to gain alliences and get people to help you against certain people.

If you don't have a silver tongue (Which you obviously don't from your first couple posts) you will do horribly in diplomacy's.

Ok so JSO is just a troll so we can ignore him. But what if diplo games had their own tab under multiplayer? Or would that be unnecessary? What do you all (except for JSO) think?

"I always say and I will always continue to say that if you dislike diplomacies or the people who play them then you are either.
1. Bad at them. (yes you can be bad at diplos)
or
2. Playing with the wrong people and/or with bad templates."

Or you're not the lowest common denominator. You forgot that one.

I don't like diplomacy because I don't like luck. I want to lose when I play less than ideally.

@Nauzhor; There isn't almost any luck in a good diplo game. You just have to play your hand towards your favor, make allies when you need to, betray when you have to, and survive through the best means available. The saying goes, the pen is mightier than the sword.

JSO, so why do you wonder why people blacklists you then?

The last Diplo i created you automatically attacked a person without a deceleration and didn't say a bit about it, after a few turns you booted some people for not committing in time even though they were active. Don't expect to not be blacklisted if your playing the game wrong.

Some games just aren't meant for some people. And i know that Diplo games aren't the best. they get boring after awhile but they are games that players could do so much in it. The imagination is infinite.

And also if you don't want to be blacklisted then read the rules

I don't think it's good, or necessary.

There are lots of steps in-between a pure strategy game and a full-on Diplomacy game. Forcing people to choose "which kind" their game is... is a bit of a challenge, and a totally unnecessary complication.

I'd like to keep the ground clear to start any kind of game you want. Maybe you want a game which is pure strategy for 10 turns, and then 5 rounds of diplomacy, and then back to pure strategy? Why not! (It is, of course, up to YOU to be as clear as possible in the game's description.)
