Because of all the horrible shit we've done in the past, including but not limited to

-Slavery, although that wasn't really a USA-specific problem
-Dropping two nukes on Japan
-Putting the Japanese in internment camps during WWII, which were basically concentration camps but without the killing
-Invading Mexico and taking a ton of their land in our bullshit quest for "manifest destiny"
-Destroying/killing Native American lives/stealing their land
-Our continuous love for guns causing ridiculously loose gun control laws despite the repeated mass shootings in schools and theaters
-Our fucked up "war on terror" when we invaded countries like Iraq and caused thousands of civilian casualties for no real reason
-Horribly torturing innocent people in secret to gain information that largely ended up being false
-Trump
-All the idiots who support people like Trump
-And anything else the government keeps hush-hush to make sure we never realize how messed up they are

There has been shit done by every nation and civilization. I believe Nikolai's question pertains as to why the US specifically gets called out on it.

An old statistic stated that America is 15th best place to live, and places 13 - 18 on how "free" countries were. It's probably about the same even now.

Most countries are "free", as long as you speak of domestic politics privately.

RWB puts America at 49th place for freedom, #1 is Finland (North Europe in general is high, though), lowest is Eritrea #180.

I made my own list of best countries to live in, excluding any personal effects, top 20:

1. Qatar
2. Bahrain
3. Iceland
4. Norway
5. Netherlands
6. Denmark
7. Luxemburg
8. Emirates
9. Canada
10. Liechtenstein
11. South Korea
12. New Zealand
13. Britain
14. Monaco
15. Australia

I have a few ideas

1. America sticks its nose in all sorts of international problems which it stays in too long or doesn't belong
2. The Westboro Baptist Church. That's what some people think US Christians are like
3. Our lack of a unified culture (America's mostly a melting pot)
4. Our number of shootings and pride of our guns
5. It took the United States this long to legalize gay marriage
6. The ideals that the US is the center of World History (like when Americans take all the credit for winning WWII, despite the fact that many more French, British, and millions of Soviets died compared to the US death toll)
7. The need for other countries to make stuff for us
8. The US's view on sex and violence
9. The Us sometimes stereotyping other countries
10. Our inefficient government system

That's the big ones

reasons i hate US
it hates any other country that becomes a super power
it tells lies to the whole world
it doesn't care about any of their 'allies' they only care about themselves
Us citizens are EXTREMELY racist
US citizens think all Muslims are terrorists
US is full of pride
they take credit for everything even when they didn't do anything (WW2 they don't deserve that much credit)
they make everyone else look bad by telling lies through media
they kill millions of innocent people but say they're peaceful
they make good country's like Russia and China look bad when they are the real threat to the entire world
they don't respect anyone else's culture
they think they are the most supreme
they make serials movies etc that show other country's as villains
and alot of other stuff too

Many of these are just untrue assumptions. We only care about ourselves? There is quite a lot of people worrying for Israel after our glorious president let Iran have nuclear resources.

Russia and China. Good countries. Pick one. That's not to say the US is an innocent little flower, but if you believe Russia and China to be good countries, then you may be the one deceived by the media.

Allies would not have won had either Britain, Russia, or the USA not been involved in the war.

EXTREMELY RACIST? No. There are bad apples in the bunch, but no.

I could go on, but I think that one of the reasons everyone hates the US is because of people like this spreading baseless qualms and grievances against the US.

5. It took the United States this long to legalize gay marriage

I hate how people bring up Gay Marriage like it's currently a world standard. This isn't like the metric system where America is the last country resisting, the world is still very much divided on the matter.

Nevermind that the other two superpowers in the world haven't legalized it. Never mind that some of the GLORIOUS European countries haven't legalized it. The U.S is such a backwards nation for taking this long. Guess we're better than most of the world by this kind of bench-marker though.

Since we're listing off reasons to hate Americans;
1. They've decided that they have the most freedom of anyone because they shout it as they suppress people.
2. The Christian right.
3. Idiotic gun policy.
4. Bush.
5. Reagan.
6. Completely blind to the rampant racism, as shown by previous comments.
7. Sexism, only the US and Papua New Guinea have 0 weeks maternity leave.
8. Thinking that bombing someone will give them freedom.
9 Weeping in the streets over 3,000 innocent deaths, ignoring the fact that over 1 million innocent Iraqi's died as a result of US attacks.
10. Islamophobia. Both the US and Al Queada have killed more Muslims in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan than Muslims have killed in all of the West combined.
11. Numbers 9, but Vietnam.
12. Number 9, but WW2...more Russians died than all other deaths from all other countries, civilian and military combined.
13. 50 year long dick measuring competition with USSR that nearly killed everyone (50% of the blame goes to the USSR).
14. Your food. Sprayable cheese? Fuck no.

2. does makes sense, the Christian Right in America is completely at odds with European values and one of the main reasons that we dislike you.
3. Gun policy affects everyone because we have to listen to news reports of 'random bastard murders 20 kids in a school with a gun he bought in Walmart," followed by the GOP moronically shouting "lets give guns to teachers, that'll fix it" and fucking winning the vote on it.
6. I've been to Florida, it was racist.
14. Is my strongest point.
