I have been working on a large fantasy map for a few months now and it's finally reaching completion:

https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=44515

I already have a few testers, however it would be nice to have more considering the size of the map.

Not interested in playing (too big for me), but have some suggestions...

-I get why you have shades of a color within the super bonus, but you should try and make adjoining super bonuses more contrasting in color. Don't put Red, Orange, Yellow, Green next to each other in succession like you did on Vondexa. Do like Red, Green, Orange, Blue, Yellow or something to break up the color ramp better. There are other place where this is true as well (similar colors next to each other).

-are all bonuses territories-1? I checked a bunch and it looks like it. It is better to vary it some to make some bonuses less/more desirable. It would probably serve better to play test it first, see what areas are strong/weak...and then adjust the bonus amounts as needed. If you look at Strat ME, you can see there are a number of bonuses not taken as more than a counter because the ratios are poor.

(In response to ChrisCMU)

I wanted the regions to follow the colour spectrum going Red-Orange-Yellow-Green-Blue-Purple. Just makes the map look better and more consistent in my opinion, but I should probably change up and some shades to make things more distinct.

All of the bonuses are -1 with the region bonus offsetting it and making it an income per territory. Would adding a regional one territory capital worth an income be better? I think that putting one for every 10 income a region bonus is worth or one in a bonus currently worth 8 would be good.

I'm not sure on the -1 question. It is hard for me to evaluate that when larger maps are usually not strategic in nature (I suspect that is not the goal here). It is hard to assess balance on something so large because there would be A LOT of ways to pick it.

A capital might add some more depth to it though, because I think large maps without them tend to become just a forest (and you see no trees). Frankly, large maps with just a bunch of even bonuses is kind of boring IMO. There is nothing really to target when picking or anything.

I like the map as best I can tell, at least it's not 3k territories. :)

I've never played a negative bonus map yet, so perhaps I should pass on testing one. :)

Thanks to everyone who wants to help me test :)

The test game should be up by the end of the week. All that's left is to smooth out the rough and jagged territories and distribution modes.

I can help test. I can post stuff here-

Lobata and Pomar are not connected (between Resni Mnts and East Vondexa)
Ognilo and Vypalai are not connected (Southern Rivne Wetlands)
Initsa and Zaseok are not connected (West Eastern Averon)
Poselok and Zaruchina are not connected (Southwest Central Averon)

EDIT: oh wait looking at dates you've probably started already. NVM :p
