I think the reason you have to pick whether you want to play 5 or 10 games is that you then sign up for either 1 or 2 tournaments. Each tournament is then an RR with one player/team from each manager participating, which adds up to 6 teams pr. tournament, and 5 games pr. team pr. tournament.

As of now the league has reached the minimum number of players needed for season 1, I believe.

I'm a very active player (although not really on the public forums), a leader of a clan and I have been on Warlight fr over 2 years. So if there are any spots left for managers, I'd like to be one.

i have 1 question (to lazy to find out if it's asked already): How many games do the tournaments have ongoing at once?

Every tournament is a RR with 2 games at a time. If you sign up for 5 games(one tournament), you will have a max of 2 games at a time. If you sign up for 10 games(two tournaments), you will have a max of 4 games at a time.

Actually reading though the format, I'm not even sure I understand how this will work, is for example the 3v3 an entire knockout tournament?

How about changing the number of managers to 8, and making it a knock-out tournament?
Unless maybe the round-robin is part of the plan, but that could take a while... ^_^

I'd like all clubs to play each other, so RR seems to fit better. It is also fair, since you pick up income for every game won and not just for winning the tournament.

I do not expect the RR to take too long. I'm starting most of the team games early(traditionally these take the longest), so I don't expect anything longer than 2-3 months which seems reasonable. I also want to keep it to just 6 clubs initially. The first season should be as short as possible, so that we can improve and perfect the league.

I would like to play 10 but I will play whatever my manager would like me to do.

Okay, my ladder rating and bootrate aren't perfect... but you might want to check my alt, Rivanna (link on profile). I reached 78th rank on the ladder with a rating of 1725, so I'm decent whenever I want to be. As for team games, I believe I'm decent and capable to cooperate with other players.

On a lot of reconsideration, I have decided to opt for being a manager. I just love this idea and If I don't get picked, I would be seriously gutted..

After reading the rules, I have some questions..

- After the sign up deadline for the players are done. When roughly will the auction take place? What platform will it take place on? Any details in general would be nice.

- When will the players cost be announced before the auction?

- Can you redeem a players contract after 2 seasons?

- Negotiation: Does every deal need to be authorized by you and confirmed?

- Are these economy settings experimental? To avoid huge financial imbalance.

- Templates: Do the managers vote or do the league commissioners predetermine this?

I hope I can be put as a manager :)

I think the cost of a player will be determined by bidding on that player? That is what has been done in the past I believe....

Do you think that maybe you could stream the online players draft? I think it would be cool for players to be able to watch it or at least have something to look at later for it.... idk just a thought.

"Every player has a starting worth(between 1-100 Nohhams). Once all the sign-ups occur, I will work with a few folks to estimate base price of all the players. If you think you are a good judge of players, send me a PM.
There will be a real-time auction(via a chat) where all clubs can bid for the players starting from the base price.

So yes like Good Kid said there will be a base starting price and after that players will be bid on.

Players will have base prices. The reason is so that there won't be scenarios where only 1-2 managers have money left and get players for way too cheap after others go broke buying people.
