You joined late, so you're in group B. Deal with it.

Yeah, just looked and there are a half dozen players who signed up late that are good that will be in B, along with some from A that probably don't get picked up.

Ladder Statistics

Real-Time ladder: Not Ranked with a rating of 124.
Ranked Games

Completed 604 ranked games (165 / 604)

1v1: 94 / 257 (37%)

That game above, is one of your only two ladder games, and it was a loss. I picked it over the other loss to analyze because it's on strat 1v1, a template everyone who is "good" should be able to play at an acceptable level Something you failed to do.

You only made three picks.

Turn 1 you expanded in a way which left you with poorly placed leftovers requiring more deployment turn 2 than if you'd attacked properly.

Properly in this scenario is hitting Bolivia and Colombia with 4v2's.

Turn 3 was moronic, you sacrificed two picks for a chance at getting a bonus, I say a chance because if he'd predicted you had Greenland and hit from Scand he could have kept you on 5.

Turn 4 you attack Scandi when doing so is obviously a waste of armies.

You continue playing for nearly a handful of turns after the game is decidedly over because you're too dumb to know when you've lost.

No, you're not good. You wouldn't have been picked in Group A even if you had been given the chance for managers to draft you for A. I have no issue with people that play like you, but at least acknowledge you suck and try to change that by improving, not whining that you're good and don't deserve to play with the "bad players", who in all reality are STILL better than you.

The problem with adding late players to around 7 is that it changes the bidding process. Managers that made their plans and bid high in early rounds (like me) get screwed because I don't have enough money to get the players in Round 7. It encourages saving up your money and buying all of your players in that final round.

@Kolosser
It's guys like you who think they're so great and better than everyone else that won't get drafted. Even if there were a Group C for worse teams managers wouldn't want you because you are bad for the franchise. You'll talk a lot and not live up to it and make your team look like idiots. Also people don't want to be teamed up with cocky people like that.

Advice: Chillax. Wait and see if your drafted. If you r not its not the end of the world. If you are be respectful to your manager. You won't be put up to auction for a little while, once group B starts, so calm down.

Motd, can you post a list of who has dropped out please?

Ottoman Emperor is the only one to have dropped out so far. I expect people would drop out if they're not in A because they're too elite for Group B.

how does playing in B effect your worth though. Say 1 of those good players is in B, the rest in A...and that player goes 10-0. What then? You don't want to jack their price way up if playing against less competition.

We don't know how it affects your worth in Group A yet! The player price algorithm hasn't been thought through. We still have one full season(as price changes only impact the next season), and there are higher priority things to take care of at the moment.

guys.. I looked at all the auction rounds and I can't find my name in it???? I clearly signed up and I am in the list at the starting page. Could this please get fixed? But it also doesn't say my name in round 7... I hope I am still in.. :/

Your name is on the list of late sign ups(Sheet > Market, Cell C83). As specified, all late sign-ups are only eligible for Group B, as I had to get the auction started for Group A and couldn't wait any longer. Adding players into the mix after the auction has begun, is not fair on the managers, as they cannot plan efficiently. Just to clarify, round 7 is only for the players not picked up in the first 6 rounds by a Group A club. After round 7, the auction for Group B begins.

Btw, I am not going to be a stupid B player. I am good and I don't want to be in with some kiddos who don't know how to play.

I'm sorry you feel this way. I'm pretty sure Group B is going to be competitive, but to each their own. I will interpret this as you wanting to leave the league. If you wish to rejoin you may do so before the auction for Group B begins.

Managers set people's new values, I would recommend setting the group B start money lower so they can't buy the best players and end up with a 10-0 scenario as described before, this also means that they can't buy good players from A tier teams in the transfer period.

^ If a team from B promotes it will likely be the weakest team in A. There should also be bonus if you promote

The bonus would be a larger salary cap and funds thus allowing you to afford better players.

As well, the relegated team in A would have players that may jump ship to the new promoted team via transfer or loan.

My suggestion would be to keep the players' prices the same but make wins/losses worth less in lower divisions (maybe half for group B this season? You can analyze the ratio later, I suppose.)

I think this is a natural solution since a player's skill level doesn't actually change based on the division they're in, but it's much less impressive to win games in a weaker field. This gives an advantage to the higher division teams, so there's proper motivation to try to stay in as high a division as possible, but still makes it possible for lower division teams to turn a profit.

A bonus for promotion is also a great idea, but only if there's an equivalent detraction from the relegated team so that teams on the verge of two divisions don't get a huge advantage from promoting every other season.

Well, as a player I certainly want to know what happens if we get drafted in B, perform well, but our team does not get promoted. Would I play in B for 2 seasons, then be a FA? I need to know before B auctions because if that is a yes, I might be better off joining next season and get auctioned then. I don't know. I don't mind playing a season with lower people, so long as I don't have to wait a long time to play in A.

And when I say "I", I mean any player, not me specifically (since we have not had round 7 yet).

Other people bring up a good point. If a team gets promoted, it will not have had the chance to buy any players that went in A Rounds 1-7 (only bidding on leftovers and late comers). On the other hand, group A did not get a chance for any late comers. So that promoted team could be stronger than usual or weaker than usual in A. Who knows? Most likely weaker, since the talent that came late probably is more evenly distributed as there will be much fewer of them.

Proposed Formula for new values:

After each game:
Winner: OldVal+/-(WinnerTier/LoserTier); + for win, - for loss
So I'm Value 2, if I beat Krzychu (val 60 I think) I go up to 2+(13/1) = 15

Krzychu goes down to 47, however this wouldn't happen very often and over a season both players would most likely reach their original values again.
