Wow. I really, really want 7th Heaven to make it. They have a legitimate chance to make a comeback. They're only 8 max points behind ACME and have a 28 points lead over them.

@ zero -we actually tied in max points as far as I can tell. if you tab over to the "league 8 tournament" page, we both have a max of 192. We'd need ALOT of help for first over NWO, but to me it seem like we are in the driver seat for second. Either way though, I heard top 3 clans from E advance this year.

I think it's safe to guess that all 3 clans will promote anyway. I'd be surprised if no clans dropped out.

And realistically I think we're looking at a ladder and not a P/R league anyway so the clans in Div E will have an easier time finding their ceiling, and not have to wait potentially years ^^

It is a battle until the end for first place in division E. It is so thigh between ACME 7th Heaven and NWO that theses 2v2 strat MME losts (not real losts but still losts) might clearly deny 7th Heaven from 1st place. Nothing is guaranteed so we'll see what happen next! I am totally biaised as a manager of NWO, but I think they have good chances of finishing 1st of division E!

ZBD... And you were wondering why I went from 101st to here? :) This is basically why.... Really good players in clan. Just not as well known, until our showing in CL.

Also, I think Acme has another loss that has not been tallied in the Overview/Standings part of the CL spreadsheet as yet. Take a look at the Tournaments page, they have 188 total points to our 192.

No, we actually are looking for a few more people, but not looking to be a huge clan. It's not like we openly recruit everyone that expresses interest in the clan, like some do. We're fairly selective in who receives an invite, wanting prospective members to play several games with clan members before even thinking about a tag.

You have to have skills, but just as importantly (as you may have seen in this CL), be able to give and receive constructive criticism, working with everyone in the clan on winning the games you're in. I've only seen a few non-clan team games where the level of communication that happens matches what we have in our clan teams.

Edit: Oh yeah, and an interest in Final Fantasy is a plus :)

Well for me CL is over so i'll take the opportunity to say a big thank you on behalf of Vikinger.

It was very much a last minute decision to participate and I'm glad we did. The 1v1's went quite well all things considered but we have struggled with team games. This was to be expected with a quickly assembled team on templates we had little to no experience on.

We have strengthened our roster somewhat since CL began and will now look to bring in some high level players so we can move forward.

Thank you again to the league organisers, all the teams that took part and to LeQuébécois_Benoit for his work on all the updates.

No, they are still battling for their old clan.
It often happens that people switch clan midtime of CL. This has never been a problem, since the rosters of the clans cant change while the league is still running.

With all 1v1 tounaments over, most 2v2 tournament games over and some of the 3v3 games over, 3 Clans are still battling for top spot of Division E:

1. NWO (45-13) 157 pts / 195 max
2. 7th Heaven (42-17) 146 pts / 179 max
3. ACME (40-18) 137 pts / 174 max


Then we have a 3 way battle for 4th spot between:

4. rp (28-33) 102 pts / 126 max
5. Vikingers (25-34) 87 pts / 120 max
6. P Guarde (24-36) 87pts / 117 max


7. AOE (4-57) 14 pts / 39 max


To totally secure a win of division E, NWO needs to get 23 pts out of a possible 38. With almost all matchups between 7th Heaven, ACME and NWO over, 7th Heaven and ACME needs to hope NWO plays way under their win rate (78%) in their last games while they win all or almost all their respective games.

The final sprint of this Clan League division E is on!

Well, I'm told we're about to add add 3 more wins (Great Lakes, 7th wins tournament 6-0, and 2 more in the Europe tournaments), so...

Even tho 7th Heaven now have 160pts and NWO 157pts, NWO have a max pts of 191pts, while 7th Heaven has a max pts of 179pts. That means that for 7th Heaven to finish 1st, they probably need to win all their remaining games and need NWO to lose 3v3s and/or 2v2 games against mostly underperforming clans as most match-ups between the top 3 clans of division E are over.

NWO need 23pts to be 100% sure to win Division E. We still have a game against AOE on Europe, which will probably be 5 easy pts (based on AOE's current CL8 record of 4-57), making 18 other pts to get from other games. I trust that our GL team will get 2 other wins on GL to get 10 more points, meaning 8 other pts would have to be earned from other games. The remaining game on 2v2 Final Earth won't be easy as NWO is going against ACME, so we'll see what happens there. Then there are 3 other Euro games where I think we can get at least 2 out of 3 there as games against 7th Heaven and ACME are done already. The 2v2 Final Earth will go to NWO or ACME, I have no clue about it.

Nothing is for sure yet, but I believe NWO will get 2 more GL wins and probably 3 more Euro wins to get 25 more pts. Hence, NWO could drop the 2v2 final earth against ACME and 1 of the 4 Europe games and still finish 1st position of Division E. I surely hope we'll win everything that we have left, but it is better to have a more realistic point of view rather than too optimist. I have already a pretty optimist view of NWO's remaining games as I think they can get 23 pts or more out of a max 34pts based on our win rate which is currently 76,27%.

Anyways, I can't wait to see how it unfolds, if 7th Heaven and/or ACME finish before NWO it will have been hardly fought for sure.

Ben, correct. We are more likely to fight it out for second with ACME but not entirely impossible to have a close finish vs NWO if they slip up. Overall, three clans are very close this season.

However the final few games unfold though, it's been an interesting experience. We are looking to learn from it and improve our performance, so thanks to all the participants.

Indeed. Thanks to all that participated! 7th Heaven kind of deserve first place to be honest given the fact that you will finish 2nd or 3rd only because 1 player couldn't put his ego aside and do what is best for his former clan/friends. I find it quite lame you guys lost 24 pts for that. I am not sure you would have got all the 24 points, but I think you could had get at least 3-4 victories quite easy on that 2v2 template.

Well, with due respect to all the other teams,it's obvious that the 0-6 result on that tourney was due to underlying issues between players and is a bit unrealistic skill-wise. Indeed,with median/average kind of result we'd be in a much better position challenging that top spot.

That said, fair is fair and what-ifs are a waste of time. Lev was our member and his temper was well known to us. We still appreciate the good things he has done for us and since we chose to field that team, we also fully accept the consequences.

Overall though,I think we did well (so far) and, without wanting to sound like an ass, close to being on par with what we predicted bar the above mentioned tournament. Obviously, there's always room for improvement, especially organization-wise. NWO and ACME have shown a lot of depth and consistency and we're looking forward to challenging them again in CL 9.

Dang, the people of 7th Heaven are so nice and respectful... It makes me want to snuggle them all. x3

Even if the scoreboard doesn't show it due to issues with Leviathan, I am in full agreement that 7th Heaven is the best clan in division E and are fully worthy of promoting: not only are they very skilled, but they did not give up and managed to pull out a spectacular comeback... I am so impressed. ^^ Of course, I don't want to undermine NWO's and ACME's efforts and hard work either!
