Because Apex announced they would drop out after CL8 was finished (pretty much). Had they announced this long before I think GG wouldn't have been relegated.

That's not true. GG would relegate due to their position(bottom 2) regardless of the timing of Apex's decision.

It is logical for the bottom 2 clans(in a full group) to relegate every season after having had their chance. It is also the reason why BIA relegated from B to C last season, and both 101st and Stahl promoted from C to B with 3rd and 4th finishes respectively.

One thing that could have happened is: if Apex had announced they would drop out earlier, they could have surrendered their remaining games to place 6th, which would consequently allow GG to remain in A. A similar situation happened last season with Blitz surrendering their remaining games to save Lynx from relegation when Darkpie retired.

In any case, congratulations to ONE! for the promotion!

Hm, especially with the first spot being already reserved, I don't see V.I.W. really as favorite against gg for the second promotion spot. Motoki from gg already stated in Skype, that they will take this now quite seriously. Good luck to all the clans, competing for the open promotion spot.

division B next season will be scary as well, i feel like every clan except BIA and SNinja will have a change on promoting there right now depending on templates and line-ups

Blitz just can't stand staying in the same division 2 seasons in a row so far at least, hope it will change next season of course.

I thought you were too good for division B MIFRAN. For division B next season, GG looks solid favourite with WG whose genes are A but declining, VS who have talented players and are always on some kind of rise, M'Hunters who seem to have a bit more class and depth then VS and will be tested again against GG and WG without Super Smoove. Sninja will need their top 3 players to perform, The question of depth will be asked with their new recruits. VIW losing their best players are looking into rapid decline.

Nah, I like to hang around in B, next season i will be looking forward to join another relegated team from A :)

GG is a favourite. But it doesnt guarantee anything :)

^ Yeah after all, Masters and Apex were favourite so far for div A this season... :P

Congrats 101st, Blitz, ONE, VIW, Sninja, REGL and Stahl for this amazing season, was very exciting to play and I appreciated it a lot (personaly :p). We've also got a triple promotion, which is very nice.

I guess I'll leave you guys some stats so we can all see how the division B looked this season.

What is interesting to note in this data is the inconsistency of clans in this division. 101st managed to win B but got a poor 4th place in 1v1s, VIW won 1v1s with a nice two tournament sweaping but crumbled in 2v2s while ONE performed very well in 1v1 and 2v2s but got a 6th in 3v3s. Cheers for Blitz that was the most consistent clan in the top 4; even though they didn't score any 1st in the categories, they either got 2nd or 3rd everywhere, and definetly delivered across the tournaments.

Took me sometime to go through the data, for the player rankings I just used the spreadsheet without looking at replacement players or that'd be a huge pain in the ass to make. For the clans I took a look at the replacement games to confirm the wins, but maybe I missed something.
