Although we know the one myhand was raised in "Today we will learn about Lenins contributions to Germany

That was wrong again. Lenin was Germany's contribution to the world not the other way around. The German Reich financed him and had him send to Russia to orchestrate a revolution in an enemy country. Much like the USA today.

And Germanys contribution to Marxism.

Since Karl Marx was a German, its a rather big one.

Lenin would have contributed to Germany plenty if it weren't for those pesky Polish in 1920 .

" History is written by the victors. "
- Winston Churchill

" In the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemy's country whole and intact; to shatter and destroy it is not so good. So, too, it is better to recapture an army entire than to destroy it, to capture a regiment, a detachment or a company entire than to destroy them. "
-Sun Tzu

It's inevitable myhand. I am sure you have read the book " Lord of the Flies ". Everybody refuses to listen to Piggy, because Piggy annoys them. People refuse to listen to Ralph because he just bosses people around seemingly while doing little work (despite eventually coming to pull his own weight). The system leans 2 ways - Anarchy, or Authoritarianism (expressed by Jack for both, and Ralph in Authoritarianism). Democracy is a failed experiment in mass-scale. It only works in how the Greeks committed it: Cities. Digressing; Jack encourages the boys to have fun and dine and hunt, seemingly much more prosperous than Ralph's wishes.

The masses will never know the truth, because those in power don't want them to. If the masses knew the truth, there wouldn't be any power. If there is no power, then who is to say we don't do whatever we want? Sure, we have a democracy. Great. Except we'd become a modern-day recreation of ancient Greece, or a Feudal Europe. And if we tried to make democracy work on a national basis? It collapses. technocracy is bound to be hacked and fixed, normal vote only counts in Congress ( which ironically is all that counts because the Executive Branch is a farce ) and the entire system feeds on lies.

Granted, that was all very messy and probably didn't come off the right way, so I think I'll just sum up my point for tl;dr or too dumb;didn't want to bother:

The masses wll never have power beyond a city-level. One leader is necessary. There is no other option when you have to lead a people of so many regions, cultures and ethnicity. If you have a multitude of rulers, they squabble, end up in stalemate debates and never get anything done. This is expressed in Lord of the Flies. It is the natural ebb and flow of humanity. Myhand, you're liberalism is in vein and is a farce in a world where the only thing keeping everything from falling apart is the promise that your money is functional and is something.

Thomas gtfu of my threads and go play with model cars. Or watch formula 1, or Nascar or go to school for a change.

1. This is the virtual world, and you can't tell me to do a damn thing.
2. F1 isn't on, for a start it is only one weekends.
3. Nascar is literally the most terrible form of racing ever invented.
4. I posted that while I was at school.
5. Note how persidonas posts at 4am, 8am and 2pm tasmanian time.

I do most of this in school

I don't know if I like the idea of China taking over the role of the US. China's blatant disregard for human rights and its desire to absorb neighboring nations and territories is alarming. Should China become the new hegemonic nation of the world, I wouldn't be altogether surprised to see a new cold war starting and frankly, at this point, all the advantages lie with the Chinese.

That having been said, it's going to be nice to see a less US-dependent Europe. For ages now the European mainland has had to skip to the US's beats, now we'll be China and Russia's lackeys, not exactly the self-sufficient independence we've been idealizing since the rise of the Euro, but definitely a step in the right direction.

We don't hate America, we hate your politics. And can you really blame us? A nation whose foreign policy is set on world economic domination through military and financial means.

I do know from watching the news and reading various journals that Germany is spearheading a movement in the EU to continue becoming more self-sufficient in order to counter the trade deficit and lack of raw materials on the European mainland. Let's see if they manage, somehow.

Thomas, the reason myhand cares so much is because we all know that the United States is an evil empire that is secretly planning the invasion of all Europe as we speak. Only a brainwashed sheep would not be aware of America's diabolical plans for world domination.

Land of the free people, keep telling yourself that :P The government is less transparent than it's ever been in its history. Citizens enjoy fewer rights every year and the lobbyists run the legislative branch of the government. American's refuse to raise tax on the middle and upper class, but don't mind letting the poor jump through hoops just to collect food stamps.

And I can see why you'd use that case as an example. Who wants to go to school when you can stay home all day and...dunno, be ignorant? Education is a right in Germany and parent's neglecting their children's right to an education is criminal. Also, imprisonment is kind of harsh. I'm inclined to say he was charged, if I'm mistaken provide a link showing otherwise, please.
