While I can see where you're coming from, there shouldn't be any rule which prevents rematches if both teams agree. To offer a rematch when you've won on boot, is in itself a noble gesture. We should encourage and applaud such behaviour in this age of cheats and stallers.

I agree with Phaeril. Players that get applaud will have a disadvantage to the players that don't offer rematch when won on boot. In my eyes that's not fair at all.

I think we should generally stick to the official rules of no replay matches after picks. Otherwise we could end up with a situation where clan A gets relegated because clan B got a replay match against clan C and won it, whereas clan A didn't get a replay match after their boot. The rules should be uniform to the extent that we can make them so.

I won't think any less of a team which thinks they have won, and therefore refuse a rematch. But if it is obvious that the game was undecided and both teams are willing, why stop them?

Also, if the two teams involved really wanted, they could game your current rules. Play a rematch, and the loser surrenders in the active clan league game. How do we stop that from happening?

Yeah there's no way to stop that. But there's no way to stop someone from throwing a game on purpose either.

as there is no official ruleset at this point about replacement games its kind of up to the players indeed if there will be a replacement game or not. As this could lead to the situation beren described there will be an official ruleset next season. Before next season starts all clans will be notified about whether its possible or not to replace games. What rules there will be regarding replacement games and a possible limit of replacement games (to not favor the lazy people)

Not sure about boots. I think boots is a part of the game and shouldnt be replayed

I agree with KKND, it is the responsibility of the player to ensure they play in time, vacations are allowed so there is no excuse. It is also the responsibility of the Clan League manager of the respective clans to ensure that the players being put forward to partake in the league are not only active but also reliable.

Agreed, don't think there should be any rematches of games past the picking stage, whether both teams want to do it or not. 3 days with vacations honored is lenient enough. Rematches would affect other clans in addition to the 2 clans involved, they would complicate and delay the results, and they put pressure on the winners to accept rematches or look bad.

What's to stop players from intentionally getting booted when they're at a slight disadvantage or don't like the picks they ended up with, hoping they can pressure the other player(s) into a rematch, saying "But it was still anyone's game!" What if an underdog is holding his own against a better player, due to figuring out a pattern in the player's picks/moves or taking a risky gamble that pays off, and the better player gets booted? Probably won't work a 2nd time, but how can he argue that if it was an even game?

This is mostly why we're probably going to decide on not allowing any games to be replayed after pick stage when we write the official ruleset. We don't want people to take advantage of others' kindness or to drag out the season by intentionally getting booted.

I also agree rematch should not be possible with the exception of one game per team per season. This would give a bit of flexibility (RL always brings surprises).

The one game to be replayed had to be at pick stage because this is the only moment when the game is really even and the team has to ask within a certain time after the boot to avoid a team picking a game at the end of a season once performance of all players are known.

Nope. You should get a rematch OR no one could get one... if it's (at leat) after pick stage.

Of course, if no one could get a rematch, everyone is equal.

Next season, clear rules will be established and declared before the start of the league. But rules cannot be changed during the season (it should not be).

it's sad that lynx got so many boots atm. Are there replacement games coming up or what? was wondering about this issue. They might have to back to group B because of those boots which shouldnt happen ofcourse

I'm not entirely sure what will happen. We may end up having to play replacement games for all of Darkpie's games that he was booted at pickstage with a different player. That would be a mess..

This is really unlike Darkpie to go super inactive without telling anyone first. We are hoping that he is okay, and it was just something like his computer going down.

As for makeup games, we were in a good position to fight for third before he started getting booted, and had a comfortable lead on 5th and 6th. Now we are in 6th, with a very strong chance of relegation if Darkpie doesn't return very soon. So basically, we are screwed because of one player suddenly going inactive. That said, when a clan puts a player in 4 tournaments, they should know that if this player goes inactive, they will be screwed. Therefore, I understand if makeup games were not allowed. I would push for make up games because it'd look bad for the league if a clan who was clearly the third or fourth best team this season ends up relegated. This would weaken Group A next season, and likely make Group B a Lynx playground (or at least I hope it would).


No matter what the committee decides on this, I would like to point out that I believe the clan league needs a change in the scoring system. Currently, the system is set up where one player can account for 45% of his clan's score. What I mean is a player playing both 3v3 tournaments, and 2 of the 2v2 tournaments makes a huge difference. If this player chooses to puppet his teammates (or even just with lots of discussion), and he is better than anyone else in Group A on these templates, his clan will have a big advantage. You can literally win the clan league right now with 3 top players, and the rest of the players can just be puppeted. I'd like to see some kind of change in the format where no player can account for over 25% of a clan's points. I'm not sure how exactly this should be set up, but I really think a change is needed to make it more about overall clan skill rather than what a few players in the clan can do. This isn't directed at any clans or anything; I just think it is something that should at least be discussed for the future. At one point, this may have been tougher to implement since clans had less members, but nearly all clans currently playing the clan league could fill some extra spots if they were added I think.

Well, games can be made if he got booted in picking stage. I have no problem with replacing him in those games (like Latnox was replaced). But the panel has not discussed such a rule so I cannot say %100 on that being allowed.

J/K. It will probably be a thread on the clan forum announcing the changes. That will reach the largest audience probably as clan leaders change, or don't really exist in some clans at all (or are a few people).

if i understand right lynx focusing in one player to have good result ??? what a shame and hope darpie is good but dont think you have the right to call for a rematch after getting booted i did got booted in 3 games and did not ask for rematch or this clan league would ever end and finally hope darpie is alright
