I started a new map project with a special theme. As there are very few city maps I decided to make an ancient town with highlighted districts and most important buildings. there will also be a surrounding area with little villages. The streets will separate the districts. They also have no bonus value to point out the separation aspect. Any ideas for additional features, comments and suggestions are gladly appreciated.

Do you want to make territories out of the coloured fields outside of the town?


I would like to see an additional feature. Some kind of battle arena for AIs would be great :D
Maybe for a second special version of this map ;)

I will soon start with the territory names. Every help for good names is appreciated. Im also still uncertain to set up further bigger super bonuses.

Unfortunately, I doubt that a generator will be a good choice for this map. I'd like to name the territories due to the guilds they are part of.

im almost done.
I consider to implement a round table, with a seat for the most important guild leader around the lord Paramount. Compare the links below:

Im not sure if I like the idea. And if so, how to set it up. there could be an access to each table seat from different guild halls or only from the citadel. If there are accesses from the guild halls, which are scattered all over the map, shall those seats be connected with each other? so you can *teleport* from the citadel to the guild halls and other way round? I could also make no connections and a seat is only for power demonstration - it makes the leading position more obvious. In that case I would just combine territories on the map with those in the round table.
Every suggestion and idea is very welcome. There are also a bunch of open names for the territories, if you have some fancy names in mind, just let me know.

I like the idea with the round table.

I am not sure what I would prefer.
Both ideas have their uses. Without a connection, but part of the guild hall territory would fit best to normal games and balancing.
It is also nice to see the players in charge "sitting" at a round table.

With connections the teleporting effect is something I don't like. So for me would only be the option to create one connetion to the citadel. This system is working (like "Kings Landing" on the Westeros Map). But on the other hand the king could be backstabbed easier than any other player.
But that is not such a big problem I think.
About this I really like that it would be possible to let AIs fight in this "arena" :D
But I would not make the bonusses very strong. Maybe many 1 territory bonusses with 1 bonus unit each.


One more thing: You should use the same symbols like on the map. Everything else will be confusing.

this will only be an extension of the streets, which are supposed to be a shortcut. so this way bridges would become somehow an obstacle.
