On Android in real time games the timer moving half a second at a time instead of every ysecond, then it resets to the correct time after a cpl of seconds. Then it's rinse and repeat

Android version doesn't respect the screen rotation setting set in Android. It rotates the screen even if I've set rotation to off

But the zooming is too fast and this alone makes it unplayable for me. I use a trackpad and any motion instantly zooms all the way in or all the way out. With the flash version, I can do incremental zooming and set it how I want.

You can zoom with p and m (Plus and minus)

I like the sensitivity on webGL. So most likely you have your internal trackpad sensitivity set a bit high. (You can change how much is zooms at a time.)

A new version is out! Here's what's changed:


3.19.1.5 2017-05-15:
- Upgraded Unity from 5.6.0 to 5.6.1.
- Added the ability to change your name, color, email address, password, email notifications, automatic friends, and vacations on the settings page.
- When chatting, the placeholder text now indicates if you're sending a public, private, or team message. Thanks to ViralGoat for the suggestion.
- If you change your account's email or password gets changed from outside the app, the app now presents a more friendly error message.

If I attack a territory with several armies and want to decrease them to 1, I push "1" on my keyboard and unity closes the attack window, but the attack still goes into orders with initial armies.

Mhm, having just, ehm shared team intel in public chat....I feel I have to complain a bit more about the new chatbox :P (Yes, this happened after the placeholder update xD )

In flash it was very easy to know what chat you were in, since they were physically separated on the screen. In Unity they look the exact same, (and if you don't hit 'Older Chat', past chat don't help either). The only difference is what tab is greyed out on top. Need a more visual clue, like color code them or something? . And default to team chat would be nice, if not a must.

Also there is so much empty 'white space' on it. Like relative to flash, the same chat takes x2 times as much horizontal screen space.

Sorry, I don't quite follow. Can you write out what you're doing/clicking on step-by-step, numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, to reproduce the issue?

It sounds like you're saying that when you push "1" on your keyboard it's closing the attack/transfer dialog, but I can't make that happen, so I'm probably not understanding.

In flash it was very easy to know what chat you were in, since they were physically separated on the screen.

The fundamental difference here is that Flash was created for computers only, whereas the Unity client is created for all screen sizes (down to phone sized screens). On a small screen, there isn't enough room for side-by-side chat boxes and using tabs makes more sense.

Ideally the app would detect that you have more room and make them side-by-side. However we're going to first write an app that's the same on all platforms/screensize, and only once it's done will we go back and spend time on features that apply just to one platform/screensize since those are inherently lower priority features since they won't apply to everyone.

I like the color coding idea. I'll add that to my list of things to do in the UI overhaul.

could you highlight the selected tab with a different color, such as red? That will make it more obvious. Right now, light gray does not make it evident that it is the selected tab. Actually, the opposite (to me, dark gray makes it look like selected, while light gray is a background color)

A new version is out! This update mostly is to support the new features added in Mods v0.05. See https://www.warlight.net/Forum/260832-mods-v005-live for the real changelog.

The only change specific to Unity is this one fix:

3.19.2.1 2017-05-17:
- Fixed a bug that caused an error if you selected the same color as your primary and alternate. Thanks to Muli for reporting this.

While me non-member wait for Unity client to open for everyone, how about i suggest a random template maker? Sometimes i just want a totally random game. Also, will we still have our same profile and everything as it is in Flash? Same level, etc.

I've a suggestion for your later work in Unity having implications for the mapbuilder. I know it'll be your last work and final work in Unity but I want to say some things in hindsight which could lead to some radical changes. First of all I beyond doubt am frustrated by the current map size limit which is 3330 in width and in 2400 height. Especially the 3330 number sounds weird to me since it's such an odd number. ( not dividable by 100, what?) I never get how you got to that number since it turns out it gets even stranger than that. Go into a random game on a map fixed at the size limit (3330x2400). Issander's huge world map for example, and you'll notice there's a huge black empty space at both sides of the screen. I think it's absurd how big these empty areas are since they can be minimalised and filled.

This image by comparison will you a better view of what I mean. Between the red lines I put on the map is the maximal map size limit a map can have. The rest is empty space.



Now you'll hear me saying: why isn't this empty space not being filled? Well that's exactly my question! Why isn't it filled, Fizzer. Or even slightly being filled. The space between is too large, and moreover multiple maps are having problems (including mine) that their maps don't fit in. Especially the world maps have a problem with this. The world map is naturally bigger in width than in height. In order to preserve that width x height scale the map size limit needs to increase in width. It's simple, soft and a straightforward solution. Increase the width of the map size limit from the obscure 3330 to 3600 ! The entire map-dev community will be thankful.

I don't know if it is just me or what.
The stand alone unity was very fast and easy.
The Alpha is clunky and super lagged and slow. I switched back to Flash and I was so happy by how fast it is.
DID YOU HEAR THAT? FLASH was actually faster! And a lot faster at that.

well unity is slow and crap, takes too long to load up right now flash is a crap load faster at loading. also it appears unity is not opera compatible, i had to use chrome and i really hate using google pish.

Hi Fizzer just a suggestion maybe someday you could make it so we can invite certain players to specific tournament slots. This would be great for making team tournaments and clan showdown tournaments.
