Sheet is posted : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17B-tlWBvzqJ4_86RijeOqKHe2cbQNwlhChKsw5W5ByI/

There are still some parts that are WIP. (I haven't cleaned up the Q's yet for example, since they depend on signups. Ditto templates)
Please let me know if you spot something wrong, broken/wrong links or have questions. If you want to contact anyone part of CL 11, the sheet has a CL 11 Contact Info that may be helpful.

There are some rule changes since last CL. I will try to most of them here, but this list is not exhaustive and is provided for convenience only.

  • Vacations are honored. If needed extending an existing vacation for another player is allowed only if a forum post in the division thread is made at least 3 days in advance.
  • When claiming another clan's spot in CL, players who are suspended (can't play in this CL) are considered as AWOL.
  • Clan movement rules have been relaxed when moving back and forth between two clans. If a player played for Clan X in CL 9 and moved to clan Y in CL 10, then they can not represent Clan X in CL 11. This rule is meant to stop free movement of players and restrict the advantages gained via allied clans (For ex - Miyagi for Masters/Apex, Lynx/101st, Masters/Apprentice, GG/GGr etc).
  • We are not using a CLOT, so the substitution rules have changed. 6 slots sub done with forum post + PM. See doc for full details.

Nice job sneaking in a new rule seemingly out of thin air about how to take over a clan league spot from a new clan.

Does the rule really have to be so weak (you only need to have 1/3 of the slots/points in the new clan)? It's a really low threshold. I'm not against the rule or defining it clearly, but it seems like you would want more of the old clan represented in the new clan. Does 1/3 of the clan representation deserve the spot more than a clan in a lower division? What happens if there are still members of the old clan that would like to play but didn't account for slots/points in the previous CL?

I'm just making up numbers on the fly, but I feel like the absolute minimum should be half.

The following lays out the scenarios in which a clan's spot could change hands:

If a clan X retains active players who accounted for one third of their slots (6/18) and one third of their scored points then it is guaranteed to retain its spot.

If clan X splits and X does not retain both one third of their slots and of their points, another new clan Y can claim the spot if they have active players accounting for one third of that clan's slots and points. If X didn't meet the requirements, while two different clans Y and Z do and both claim the spot then the spot is awarded to neither clan and both must start from the bottom.

Say, Clan X got 90pts and needs 30pts to retain its spot in CL9. Player A, B and C played on a 3v3 tournament where they won 15pts but now only Player A is left in Clan X. In this case player A would account for 5 points(not 15)

If a player goes AWOL (or is suspended from CL), he doesn't count toward meeting the 1/3 of players requirement. None of the points he won count either. If this player was on a team, the points will be pro-rated.

I don't know exactly what this stuff means regarding Blitz and Masters, however Blitz taking over Masters slot would be quite a joke to the competitive promotion relegation system imo. M'Hunters had to work hard in order to get their 3 promotions in a row and then stay in A while these guys just come out of nowhere and spam some trolly poaching games (https://www.warzone.com/Forum/323969-blitz).

Outlaws taking over 101st spot --> The whole competitive community switched from one clan to another, leaving 101st without any competitive players to play in A of whom none contributed to the promotion.

Blitz taking over Masters spot --> Masters clan very much still exists but just some clanhoppers switched their clan.

Here's the CL9 sheet, rule has been in effect ever since you guys took over from 101st:

Is it correct that from Division B only 1 clan relegate (see spreadsheet/sign-ups) or is this to be fixed?

Edit: found out that group size of B was 6 only in CL 10 instead of 7.

Does that mean that whoever signs up until 13th NWO will also plays in B now to fill this group?

It's still fair to argue against the rule, just not on the basis that Tbest sneaked it in :)

@let's fight, the slots for B are (if everyone joins back):

Apprentice
101st
VS
GG
Statisticians
Hydra
FCC

So until sign-up is closed the slots are reserved for those 7 clans (:

There was never been any slot swappings like that before CL 9

The closest thing I can think of would be when the clan CPU basically disappeared. Their members went to BIA (5 or 6?), WG (2), I think a couple went other places like XS maybe. But BIA took their spot because most of their members went there.

At any rate, CPU basically didn't exist anymore. When most of the 101st CL players formed Lynx, we DID NOT give Lynx the 101st slot, even though probably %90 of their point earners moved to Lynx.

Also, note that it says "if the clan splits" and another "new clan" ends up with their members. It doesn't say everyone can move to another existing clan and that clan gets the slot.

Also, he had the rule that you can't play for a different clan in consecutive leagues anyway. So if everyone moved to another clan, they would get the slot (I suppose) but then those players could not even compete for that other clan anyway (so do they count towards that slot at all?).

My point is that if you eliminate movement restrictions (and people can play for a different clan back to back), then the rule allowing for swapping slots is completely out of date. You can't revise one without revising the other.

Allied clans isn't the only way people can take advantage. Your rule allows for someone to play for Clan X in 10, Clan Y in 11, Clan Z in 12. So if their clan gets demoted, they could just move to another clan in a higher division every season and the player will never be demoted.

Why have promotion/demotion system if people can just skirt it?

This discussion doesn't need to take place unless Blitz actually does make a claim for Master's spot. The time for rule changes was before Clan League 11 kicked off, rule changes now will only further unsettle things. As far as I can see this is a discussion about a hypothetical scenario that hasn't happened yet.

I just need 1 more player from Outlaws with 3 slots and the mighty Darklords are in A.

Afaik Blitz is indeed trying to get Masters spot. I'm not sure if everybody involved takes this completely seriously though :)
